Between September and October 2024, our partner Austrian Red Cross conducted a test-run of the digital training at the Red Cross District Branch in Freistadt, Upper Austria, with a dedicated group of volunteers. This pilot combined an online test and two in-person workshops to thoroughly evaluate the toolkit’s design and functionality.
The primary focus of the evaluation was on technical implementation, with volunteers assessing user-friendliness, technical functionality, and comprehensibility.
During the follow-up workshops, the participants identified key areas for improvement and shared valuable feedback to refine the toolkit further. Based on these insights, necessary updates were implemented to enhance the digital training’s quality before translating it into additional partner languages.
In addition, this pre-test proved very important to start the testing phase of the digital training program, during which the quality of the training content, methods, and materials will be evaluated in each partner country.
